The Caverns of Time Raid Deck marks the ninth entry to the growing list of raids and dungeons that we have added to the World of Warcraft TCG, and it will be the third addition to the automated raid list, joining the ranks of the Dungeon Decks and Battle of the Aspects. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the automated raid decks, these decks pit you and your friends against the biggest baddies that World of Warcraft has to offer without the need of having someone to be the bad guy. The raid deck will run itself (with a little help from you flipping some cards over), so you won't need to find that elusive fourth player to help round out your raid experience.

We have learned a lot over the last couple of years making automated raids, and the Caverns of Time Raid Deck takes another step forward in the evolution of these raids. We put a heavy emphasis on replayability for our raids, and Caverns of Time is the best one yet in that regard. Each time you get ready to traverse the time-ways, you will battle against three of eight potential Caverns Heroes decided randomly before the game starts and set in a random order. When a Caverns Hero is defeated, the next one shows up in explosive fashion, but since the order is random and the heroes are chosen at random, you never know which one will be staring you down next. You might find yourself defeating Aeonus to keep Medivh safe only to find Mannoroth the Destructor waiting for you, or maybe you will send Mal'Ganis running from Stratholme only to find yourself whisked way back to the War of the Ancients to face off against Queen Azshara. Each play-through can be a completely different experience with each Caverns Hero offering a different challenge for players to solve.

The Caverns of Time Raid Deck also comes with abilities and allies inspired by all of the Caverns of Time raids and dungeons from World of Warcraft. The deck also includes ten events, eight of which are each tied to a specific Caverns Hero. Use your luck wisely as I promise you that you won't want to see one of these events flipped when its corresponding Caverns Hero is in play. You might need to scour the treasures of the Caverns of Time to give yourself a better chance. Might I recommend something Cataclysmic with perhaps a touch of Defilement?
